Mid Month Heart Balance

Our theme for this month is that of being creative with our words, and taking that time for ourselves alone that allows this creativity to flow.

If you have been feeling out of balance, short-tempered, a lack of focus or vision, now is the time to prioritize yourself. We are surrounded by obligations and demands of others, more or less so depending on our circumstances. However, pause and let go of the tension, breathing in gratitude for the opportunity before you.

Where in your life can you make time for yourself? Even five minutes a day to sit with your breathing will aid you in finding that creative center. The Swan, however, is not suggesting we skip across the surface of creativity – instead Swan asks of us that we spend time alone, away from distractions, with something to write on and something to write with, and simply … be creative.

If you feel stuck for how to begin, or what to do, jot down 10 random words – maybe flip through a book or magazine, or click the random results for a web search on a topic that interests you. Rearrange the words into shapes, use the words in a short story, or a poem. You may find that your mind takes you in another direction entirely – go with the flow.

You may not feel as graceful as Swan, do not let that stop you. You’ve got this!

Mid Month Heart Balance

Our theme this month for our Heart Balance is Sobriety, that is, seriousness as opposed to framing life as a joke.

When we find ourselves avoiding difficult things, a question to ask is, What is the blessing in this?

When we find ourselves with strong emotions, anger, worry, have we been scared to face?

When we examine our present, are we aiming for our dreams?

Let go of the mask this month, even if just for yourself, and look seriously at what you really feel and what dreams you wish to manifest. Be kind to yourself – especially if what you see when you look disappoints you. Each day we begin anew.

Inspiration this month comes from Hyena:

Mid Month Heart Balance

This month we are playing with perspective. How we navigate through our day, week, month stems from the perspective we have. Are we making assumptions about a situation, someone else’s thoughts, an outcome for a project? Are our thoughts and emotions helping us with our goals or creating blocks? Even when life is running smoothly, shifting our perspective is beneficial – on the one hand it can affirm the positives we have, on the other hand it can give us insight on what isn’t working for us.

If you have areas you want to change, shift your perspective on it. Instead of letting your brain run away with all the reasons and ways it can’t change or won’t work, get creative and focus on the ways in which it can. No matter how far-fetched they seem or are, make a list anyway. Look for the blessing in the chaos, let go of the worry that keeps you from getting into motion, apply kindness and compassion to your work, and be real with yourself.

This month’s inspiration comes from Hawk, “watchful, all-seeing, messenger of divinity”. Remember to look for the small details as well as the big picture. Every little step you take creates a shift in your journey. One small change ripples out in unimaginable bigger ways. Look to your goals and ask yourself what can you change this month, what small detail seems out of place or is missing, that moves you closer to where you want to be in a month, a year, five years.
